Welcome to my blog.This is not a site for anyone to obtain fishing marks from reading my site. It is for bass anglers who are keen on learning different methods.

It is also aimed at anglers who are not interested in slaughtering fish but return the majority of their fish to fight another day.

I intend to use it as a diary of my fishing trips and some of the marks mentioned in the blog will only mean something to a few readers.

Surface Lures start to work

Hard going with Derek today, however the day started well with the sight of Dolphins feeding off Gorey today


The fishing was slow with all our usual marks blanking. Derek eventually breaking the blank on the off shore reefs out past shearers run.The point blanked and we moved back inshore to our  favorite shallow water spot.We had to use surface lures due to the shallowness of the water. We were quickly into fish. The largest one was just over 4.5lbs, We had six at this spot
