Welcome to BASSING-JERSEY

Welcome to my blog. This is not a site for anyone to obtain fishing marks from reading my site. It is for bass anglers who are keen on learning different methods.

It is also aimed at anglers who are not interested in slaughtering fish but return the majority of their fish to fight another day.

I intend to use it as a diary of my fishing trips and some of the marks mentioned in the blog will only mean something to a few readers.

Fishing with Monster Tackle

I went out yesterday morning with Tom from Monster Tackle the tide had just started flooding but there was a nasty easterly wind blowing up to a force 4 which did not help matters

Surface lures seemed to be the order of the day as they were cast over a reef that was getting covered by the incoming tide.

We began to pick up a few bass

Tom seemed determined to try every lure that that they stock but as the sea was choppy it seemed that the surface lures that produced more splash was the order of the day.

Tom managed to keep catching pollack which was somewhat strange in the shallow water.

I managed to hook a nice 5lb fish on the surface lure

We moved to another mark where Tom picked up two more bass, The days total was 10 bass including the 5lb fish
