first double of the year
No not me but out with Derek today and it started fairly well with a fish of around 4.5lbs caught in about 6ft of water. Derek then hooked into a solid fish that moved off at speed not realising it was hooked. A steady fight ensued with the fish making a number of spirited runs. This is the advantage of catching fish in shallow water.
Eventually after several minutes the fish was safely netted and weighed in at 11bs on the boga grips whilst it showed 12lbs. on the BASS Tape. The fish was unhooked and realesed back to fight another day. The day continued fairly well with a total of 13 fish coming to the boat with an average weight of around 3lbs. All the fish were caught on sidewinder shimmer eels.
The fish was caught where I had my first fish with Paul
