Well it has been a fairly good week for fish and we have numerous fish up to 4.5lbs,I have been out with Derek, Paul Butel and visiting angler Stewart Gowland.
Fishing with Derek we have found that the surface lures seem to be working well at the moment and fish have been caught at the lagoon and the point
Fishing with Paul Butel resulted in a swift 4 fish at the cut through between GIG and LHG we then proceeded to take 13 Bass around the IT area. Plus a 4lb pollack at twin heads.
Stuart was slightly unlucky as the weather was hot and flat calm but 4 fish came to the boat most in LHG at the turn of the tide.
I am getting a new century rod from http://www.monstertackle.co.uk/ Tom from the company could not be more helpful, I have ordered other bits and bobs from this company and the service have been excellent

out at seymour today with Derek on a 33ft tide, 3 French boats were near Petit Seymour but soon cleared off who then the camera came out. 17 fish came to the boat with Derek once again outfishing me. I am going try a new jig head tomorrow to see if makes a difference.
Nothing in the lagooon or lagoon reef , fish mostly caught at the point and near by. This was a similar story last week end.

A Glorious Day
Flat calm a good tide sunshine what more could you want, this coupled with feeding gulls and feeding bass made it a great afternoon.A lot caught on the off shore reefs whilst the others were at the point
18 fish came to the boat a number at just over 3lb, more around the 2lb mark and the rest smaller.
Derek holding one of the many fish that fell to shimmer eels.

Nice 6lb fish
Out in Derek's boat today a bit disappointing at first as the bass were hard to find, I rigged up a senko worm on a worm hook and two split shot. This resulted in a nice 6lb fish at the point, I later had a 3lb fish on a soft lure that Steve had given me. We had mackeral, wrasse to 4lb and pollack but only 9 bass.

Decent fish at last
Last two days I have been out with Derek yesterday we had 13 bass up to 3lbs caught on offshore OB and Autumn reef, a few more fish came from the point.
Today I tried a lure given to me by Keith White, using a 5/0 hook and a 5g cone head. A fish took the lure immediately and put up a good fight. The fish weighed in at 8.5lbs Derek had a 4lb fish on offshore reefs whilst we had another 9 from around the area including a few inside the point
