Derek had 1 bass of about 2.5 lbs on a swim senko

also loads of Pollack and a Garfish

out with Derek today at Icho watching 4 yobs trying to smash their way into the tower then almost being cut off and havind to wade in the water. Contacted Jersey Coastguard who were going to meet them. But back to the fishing

loads of pollack and wrasse also caught

Further Bass at IT

Out on Friday to IT had one bass on 3inch shad drop to bottom in main gully also spoke to chap in Kayak who had 3 bass in almost same area towards the west at about 1hr before low

The following ady out in the same area with Beverley we had a number of Pollack but no bass windy and choppy also a 34ft tide

Wrasse no Bass

out with Derek again today lovely calm conditions but cold and water very clear no Bass but 5lb wrasse caught on bright yellow swim senko

First Decent Bass of the year

This was the first decent Bass of the Year  taken at I/Tower this afternoon one hour after low taken on Pearl swim senko also taken 2 wrasse to about 3lbs unfortunately broke my Tenryu rod it just cracked . Mike Ward is sorting it out for me which is good of him

Catch Of the Day

A day out up to Icho resulted in catching almost everything except bass perhaps I should call my blog Pollack-Jersey

First catch was a sandeel on a swim senko almost the size of the lure

A number of pollack followed average around 1.5 pounds

Finally a wrasse of around 4lbs excuse the photo but I thought I get ashot of a fine set of teeth

Out with Derek today had quiet a few Pollack and a couple of bass bites but nothing. A very slow start for us this season

Too many small bass?

out with Derek yesterday fishing the point where we had 21 bass all small caught on a mixture of lures swing impact, swim senko and some other lures Derek was using. The gulls gave us a clue where the fish were but they kept going off and re-appearing.

Other spots such as the lagoon and shearer's point not fishing at all as yet. The water remains very clear. I forgot to mention that I also had a wrasse of 3 lbs. Not a bad day but fish very small
